My aim is to breed quality purebred animals. My stud focuses on cavies the longhaired variety. I curently have Shebas, Coronets, Shelties,Texels and Merinos. All my cavies are purebred and have pedigree's from winning families. I am a current member of the New South Wales Cavy Club and participate in regular shows through out the year. I attend Local, Royal and National Shows with my pedigree show cavies. I am a registered breeder and my stud name is "Fluffy Starz" through the Australian National Cavy Council.
I started out with pedigree cavies in January 2009 and started to become seriously showing and breeding in March 2009. I had a couple of pet cavies as a child but had no idea that cavies could be shown untill recent. I laughed like no tommorrow when I found out that they could actually be shown. I attended a couple of shows and thought I would give it ago myself. I found the experinece great and the people I met along the way have been fantastic. Cavy shows are more of a social event with like minded people. Its a great way to learn about cavies and see all the wonderful breeds on display. Purebred cavies can also be purchased at these shows.
My stud is situated in Glenmore Park near Penrith at the foot of the Blue Mountains. We are about 45 minutes from the heart of sydney. We are only a small stud and house about 50 cavies but with breeding in progess our stud is quickly expanding. We do have some quality purebred cavies for sale from time to time.
